Training

LA-MV PONY Baseball is committed to providing the best instruction possible. We have developed and implemented a strong training program for our players and our coaches, consisting of coaches clinics, player clinics, camps, and umpire training.

For Coaches

To help our new and returning coaches refresh their skills and learn new drills and techniques, we host a series of coaches clinics in which experienced baseball instructors work with our coaches. We emphasize solid teaching of fundamentals, as well as good coaching techniques. The clinics are very hands on: the coaches perform the same drills they are learning to use in their practices.

For Players

For our players, we organize a number of camps and clinics. For players in the Shetland, Pinto, Mustang, Bronco, and Pony divisions, we have comprehensive Back-to-Baseball Camps for all registered players. These camps take place during the weeks leading up to tryouts for the older kids, and around opening day for the younger ones. In addition, we organize pitching clinics for our Mustang (age 9-10), Bronco, (age 11-12) and Pony (age 13-14) developing pitchers during the pre-season, and hitting clinics for our Mustang, Bronco, and Pony players early in the season.
